But for a younger generation, few of whom have ever heard of Axel Munthe, let alone read his memoirs, interest in a visit is completely different than for those who came in 1950’s and 60’s, inspired by the poetic descriptions of “ The Story of San Michele”

The cooperation project Munthes Axel, which started in 2003 and has actively continued in 2004-2006, has put the focus on developing and expanding the existing classical music concerts in dialogue with contemporary artistic expression.
