A young woman from Sweden's indigenous Sámi community tracks down a killer to settle a personal score in this emotional drama inspired by real events. Set against the stunning backdrop of Swedish Lapland, Stolen follows Elsa, who fights to protect her identity and her people’s culture amid prejudice and injustice. The film explores themes of belonging, resistance, and reconciliation, weaving a personal story into the broader history of the Sámi people. Stolen is an adaptation of Ann-Helén Laestadius’ novel of the same name, winner of the Augustpriset, Sweden’s most prestigious literary award.
