Dramatic soprano Ingela Brimberg inaugurates the cultural season of Villa San Michele with a rich choice of arias by Richard Wagner, accompanied by Ivette Irkha on the piano.

Protagonist of the sunset concert is the mezzosoprano Katarina Karnéus. She sings arias from Italian and French operas and Swedish songs. Accompanist is the pianist and composer Johan Ullén.

The clarinettist Magnus Holmander and the accordionist Irina Serotyuk won the Swedish competition Young and Promising in 2017. Their repertoire is a mixture of classical music, jazz, swing and klezmer. Magnus Holmander is also a magician. Just wait and see!

Villa San Michele invites everybody to the third edition of the Culture Festival The Salon of the Sfinx. This summer the theme is Freedom and first and foremost the freedom to love. Capri is known as the island of pleasure and many sexually limitless personalities have shaped the cultural life on the island. We pay tribute to this tradition in the name och openness and respect.
The Festival opens with an exhibit by the renowned Bosnian design company Zanat in collaboration with award-winning Swedish designer Monica Förster, ''Carving a Love Story''.

Opening night of the exhibit Carving a Love Story by the Swedish designer Monica Förster. The exhibition is a project developed together with Zanat, the Bosnian design brand, which Monica Förster has been art directing since its international launch in 2015. A design brand founded upon a four-generation-old woodcarving tradition inscribed on the UNESCO cultural heritage list of humanity. This exhibition represents a highlight in the fruitful collaboration, which has helped Zanat rise from a small family-owned workshop in Bosnia to a globally respected design brand.

Drag show with Francesco Pierri, alias Cristina Prenestina. Francesco is one of the most well known artist of the Drag scene of Rome and chose the name Cristina after the gender fluid Swedish queen Kristina (1626-1629). In his show he pays homage to the grand divas of today and yesterday, with a "certain regard" for the LGBT community.

Stage reading by the transsexual actress Eva Robin’s, after which she will be joined on stage by Italy’s only female bishop Maria Vittoria Longhitano. They are just about as different as two women might seem, but listen to them talking! The last performance is a Pas de deux by the dancers Costantino Imperatore and Denny Lodi, portraying the tormented love story of two men.

Inauguration of the exhibit ’’Axel Munthe and the Pilgrims of Beauty’’ the the chapel and the garden of Villa San Michele, curated by Katriona Munthe. The show is introduced by the actors of the Francesco Gori Theatre Group who, through tableaux vivant interprets the exhibit. A stage conversation with Katriona Munthe and Roberto Fabregas of the Casa de Cultura Les Bernardes, will add references and anecdotes to the books and photographs of the show.

Grand final with the creators and part of the cast of the film of the moment, Maschile Singolare. On Villa San Michele's stage you will hear the directors Alessandro Guida e Matteo Pilati talk about the partly unexpected success of their ''gay dramady''', together with the scriptwriter Giuseppe Paternò Raddusa and the popular actor Giancarlo Commare.
