Pianist Giuseppe Andaloro Closes the 2025 “A Summer Dream”
Concert Series on Friday, August 8 at 8:00 PM

The final concert of the A Summer Dream series at Villa San Michele will take place on Friday, August 8 at 8:00 PM on the panoramic terrace. Closing this season’s sunset performances is acclaimed pianist Giuseppe Andaloro, who will present a varied program featuring classical works by Brahms and Ravel, alongside bold interpretations of pieces by King Crimson and Emerson, Lake & Palmer.

Winner of the Busoni Piano Competition in 2005, and recognized the same year for “Artistic Merit” by the Italian Ministry of Culture, Andaloro is regarded by international critics as one of the most distinguished pianists of his generation. A student of Sergio Fiorentino and Vincenzo Balzani, his repertoire ranges from the Italian late Renaissance to Ligeti and contemporary composers. He has performed at renowned festivals such as the Ruhr Piano Festival, Salzburg Festival, and Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, and has toured globally with prestigious orchestras and conductors. He has also collaborated with artists such as Sarah Chang, Giovanni Sollima, Sergej Krylov, John Malkovich, and Tatsuo Nishie.

Kristina Kappelin, Director of Villa San Michele and Honorary Consul of Sweden, expressed her appreciation for this year’s concert season: “I want to thank our loyal and ever-growing audience, and remind everyone of our next cultural event, Il Salotto della Sfinge, which will open this year with the inauguration of a permanent exhibition dedicated to Marchesa Luisa Casati Stampa.”

The music series is organized by the Axel Munthe Foundation, under the patronage of the Embassy of Sweden, with the support of Progetto Piano.
