Special screening of La Peau by Chiara Sabatini
The Chapel at Villa San MicheleOn Friday 2 October, Villa San Michele will host the first screening of La Peau, a film by Chiara Sabatini starring Joanne Palmaro and produced by C41 and Mosaicon Film.
The 18-minute film was partly shot at Villa San Michele, the former home of Swedish physician and writer Axel Munthe. It will be shown in its original languages, French and Italian, with English subtitles.
La Peau is a story of belonging. A woman washes her hair and slips out of the present. From one dawn to the next, wandering through a suspended Capri, she gathers fragments of lives as if they were seashells. She comes to understand that what she seeks has been there all along, in her earliest memory: a fluid, shifting place where we may all become what we are not.
Villa San Michele’s cultural programme is organised under the patronage of the Embassy of Sweden.
