On Friday, 10 July at 8:00 p.m., the concert series Un’estate per sognare continues on the panoramic terrace of Villa San Michele in Anacapri.
The protagonists of the third concert will be tenor Daniel Johansson and pianist Magnus Svensson, with a programme dedicated to three great Italian composers: Umberto Giordano, Francesco Cilea and Giacomo Puccini. It will be a tribute to the operatic tradition in the setting of Axel Munthe’s house-museum, where music meets the landscape and history of one of Capri’s most evocative places.

“Welcoming Daniel Johansson and Magnus Svensson to Villa San Michele means offering the audience a concert of great intensity, built around some of the most beloved pages of the Italian operatic repertoire,” says Kristina Kappelin, Director of Villa San Michele and Honorary Consul of Sweden. “We are always happy to create, through music, a natural dialogue between Swedish culture, Italy and the island’s international audience.”

Daniel Johansson is one of the most acclaimed Swedish tenors of his generation. His career has taken him to the stages of major international theatres and festivals. In 2018, he was appointed Court Singer by His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, and in 2021 he received the Litteris et Artibus medal for his artistic achievements as an opera singer.

At the piano will be Magnus Svensson, making a welcome return to the island and recognised as one of Scandinavia’s leading accompanists. A pianist, chamber musician and interpreter of the vocal repertoire, he performs regularly in concert halls and festivals in Scandinavia, Europe and the United States, collaborating with internationally renowned singers.

The concert series will take place, as usual, every Friday until 14 August, with musical consultancy by Bo Löfvendahl, thanks to the support of Progetto Piano and under the patronage of the Embassy of Sweden.

Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office half an hour before the concert.
Tickets are priced at €20.00, with a reduced rate of €10.00 for young people and students.
