Festival del Paesaggio, 5 September – 3 November

On Saturday, 5 September at 6:30 p.m., Villa San Michele will host the opening of the tenth edition of the Festival del Paesaggio. Entitled The Observer, the contemporary art exhibition is curated by Arianna Rosica and Gianluca Riccio.

During the opening, the second Jumeirah Capri Palace Award will be presented, followed by a public conversation with art critic Nicolas Bourriaud.

The Festival brings together works and installations by Francis Alÿs, Ali Cherri, Irene Fenara, Andrea Francolino, Eva Giolo, Elisa Sighicelli, Luca Vitone and Klara Zetterholm. It invites visitors to reflect on the contemplative dimension of the natural and historical landscape; on our relationship with personal and collective visual archives; and on observation as a shared, communal experience rather than an individual act.

From 6 September to 3 November 2026, Anacapri’s Festival del Paesaggio celebrates its tenth edition. Curated by Arianna Rosica and Gianluca Riccio, The Observer offers a new interpretation of the observer—a figure that has always been central to the history of art but is now being profoundly redefined by the proliferation of digital images and the emergence of machine-vision systems. Rather than asking what we see, the Festival invites us to consider who is observing, how they observe and the responsibility that accompanies every act of looking today.
